All are welcome on these cross-country walks. If you are new to Health Walking, it would be advisable to start with on of the shorter, slower walks. However, if you have a disability or are very unfit, consult your doctor and then start with a First Steps Forward or A Step Further walk.

All walks have a trained volunteer leader at the front and back who carry first aid kit and water and have received training in basic first aid and resuscitation.

Please wear comfortable, loose clothing, trainers, walking boots or sturdy flat shoes and bring a small bottle of water to drink during and after the walk especially when the weather is hot.

For more details of the meeting places etc, please contact Anne Symons at anne.symons@care4free.net

The walks, which cater for all types of people, young, old, fit and unfit are graded into three levels, A, B and C as follows: -
A Steep hills and stiles.
B Moderate hills and or stiles.
C Gentle hills and no stiles.
